Newport West, Huntington Beach

Newport West is spread across several pockets of south Huntington Beach between Magnolia and Bushard Streets: along Impala and Hanakai Lanes north of Banning Avenue, around Kahului and Kapaa Drives near Kiowa Lane, along Christine Drive by Banning Park, and down by Malibu Lane and Leilani Drive close to Pacific Coast Highway.

It is one of the more single-level neighborhoods in the area. Most homes date from the 1960s, three and four bedrooms are the usual layouts, and the typical home is about 1,650 square feet on a lot of roughly 6,000 square feet with no HOA. Some original homes have been rebuilt, and a few enjoy ocean or peek-a-boo views.
