The short answer

Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov 11, 2026. The City of Huntington Beach holds its free ceremony at the Huntington Beach Pier at 11 AM, and Fountain Valley honors veterans at Veterans Park the same day. On Saturday, Nov 14, Heroes Hall at the OC Fair & Event Center celebrates from noon to 3 PM, and Balboa Island hosts a Veterans Day BBQ from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.

Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 11

To every veteran and military family in our community: thank you for your service. Here are four local ways to say it in person.

Huntington Beach Veterans Day Ceremony · Wed Nov 11 · 11 AM · Huntington Beach Pier, 325 Pacific Coast Hwy · Free. Presented by the City of Huntington Beach.
Fountain Valley Veterans Day Event · Wed Nov 11 · Veterans Park, 17635 Los Alamos St, Fountain Valley. Hosted by the City and VFW Post & Auxiliary 9557. Check the city page for the time.
Veterans Day Celebration At Heroes Hall · Sat Nov 14 · Noon to 3 PM · OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa. An aircraft flyover opens the day, then live music, family activities, the new exhibit "Courageous Companions: Animals in American Wars," and free hot dogs and chips.
Veterans Day BBQ On Balboa Island · Sat Nov 14 · 1:30 to 3:30 PM · Balboa Island Park, presented with the Newport Beach Museum, 107 Agate Ave · With the Newport Beach Fire Department Grill Truck.

Friday, November 6 To Sunday, November 8

Sugar Plum Arts & Crafts Festival · OC Fair & Event Center, Costa Mesa · Fri 9 AM to 6 PM, Sat 10 AM to 6 PM, Sun 11 AM to 4 PM. More than 185 artisans, holiday gifts, and free photos with Santa or Frosty the Snowman. A $5 early preview runs Friday from 9 to 10:30 AM. Free on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is $15.

Surf City Nights · Street fair and farmers market · 4:30 to 8:30 PM · Main St between Pacific Coast Hwy and Orange Ave, Huntington Beach · Free, weather permitting
